Members establish an account with Teamup.com so they can be be notified of and sign up for new rowing events. The club's calendar can be accessed through an app on smart phones and tablets or through any supported internet browser. Instructions for using the calendar and signing up for event can be found here; note you will be prompted to sign into Google using your credentials (email address used for club registration).
The public view of the club's calendar shown below displays all rowing events as "Reserved" to protect personal member information which is captured when members sign up for any event. A member's view of the calendar describes the events and identifies all members who have signed up. Any member can also post and view comments for a particular event
Subcalendars are used to identify the type of club event:
Adventure: Usually involves transporting the boats to a different launching site to explore new waters. Usually a half day or full day excursion.
Energetic: Ideal for those who want more of a challenge. The cox will encourage the crew to refine technique and maximize power using exercises to build stamina or develop skills.
Recreational: Keep in sync and choose the amount of exertion right for you. Have a chat while you row or focus on your breathing and meditate to the soothing sound of the water. Suitable for new rowers.
Reserved: Rowing events initiated by a designated cox subject to the policy and approval of the Board.
Social: Beginning, middle or end of season parties, the AGM or work parties to clean the boats or other maintenance chores.
Training: Generally intended for a team that is training for a competition or specific skills development.
