Bay of Quinte, Ontario, Canada
Separated from the mainland by a canal built in the late 1800s, the Isle of Quinte or Prince Edward County as it commonly referred to now, offers a safe passage along the north shore of Lake Ontario through its inland waterways known as the Bay of Quinte. Several ports-of-call, plus sheltered bays and coves, make this region a boating paradise. At the eastern end of the isle, the waters flow into the St. Lawrence River, passed the Thousand Islands, Montreal and Quebec cities, and into the North Atlantic.
